Apple announced that it is going to be showcasing the future of the iPhone OS with a preview of the iPhone OS 4. The company sent an email to developers early this week. According to the email, the company will be holding the event at the Town Hall section of the Apple Campus at Cupertino at 10:00am PST, April 8. Many rumors have been flying across the Internet about the iPhone OS 4 lately including multitasking for third party applications (because the iPhone already multitasks for the core applications of it’s software) presenting Exposé-like management of applications being ran, a revamp in the UI, new multi-touch gestures, universal mailbox in Mail, full printing support and a catalog of other things.
Evidence of the iPhone software being updated soon came in some investigation of the iPhone OS 3.2 software that is present in the iPad. The findings showed two more types of iPhones possibly in development and even the mentioning of the second rendition of the iPad. Experts have stated given the findings in the dig-down of the software, we can anticipate the usual release of a new iPhone along with a new software in the June or July timeframe.
